The Search for Mid 30's Beauty Regimen Dilemma
I have always been overwhelmed going through the colorful and different shapes of racks of cosmetics and skin care products in department stores, retail pharmacy outlets, and grocery stores... with so many brands to look at - I always end up staring at the display racks, picking on anything that caught my eye, reading ingredients on its packaging then going through endless brand comparisons without realizing that I already spent an hour for just going through my dilemma of picking up a loose powder, a lightly shimmered natural polished look blush, an earth toned eye shadow or just a lip gloss... crazy annoying!
To solve this constant dilemma of mine - I check on-line for products that I may end up getting without the fuss of driving myself to a place where I always go home empty handed because I got frustrated and scared to try products that might give me break outs or allergies. The hundreds of links that the internet will give you is as much stressful as you go to a department store to pick it up yourself.... I always give up after few minutes... because as an ex-buyer for fashion and beauty products - part of our training was to follow the golden rule - "Never buy any fashion or beauty accessories that you cannot try on so as not to compromise: Comfort*Texture*Perfect Fit".
Another idea sparked one Saturday afternoon after my friend Agnes had a lunch date at a Japanese Resto - we talked about going to a Mall and let a Beauty Consultant help us to find the perfect beauty regimen for our Mid 30's skin and proper cosmetics that will look very natural with a litlle shimmer for a glam look. The huge Isle of Cosmetics and Fragrance is so intimidating and at the same time too crowded of women in different age groups trying to flock to each counters with their confused look in their faces.... while others were stiffly seated on the make-up session chairs, face pasty white with thick foundations that after the consultants are done on their make-up trial applications - the women either looked like unsure or irritated by the thickness of those foundations applied on their poor face.
I was about to give up when I chanced upon one day a very vibrant gorgeous lady who is a Beauty Consultant for Mark Product lines (subsidiary of AVON)... after a little chit-chat, she handed me skind care samples (SPF 30 Moisturizer, a natural buff powder/foundation, a small tube of a lip gloss), that night, I use the sample she gave me. The next morning that I wake up, I felt my skin so supple and smooth and I saw a glow in my medium shade (Morena) skin tone.
At night before going to bed, I thought of checking her own on-line store and found those product and ordered them. Todate, I am enjoying the product lines right now and became an Independent Beauty Consultant as well.
